Well, we have started on our adventures in Asia... A lovely day in Singapore with a couple of great young women we met in New Zealand on a tramping trip...

Tried kaya toast at breakfast and some lovely local dishes for lunch. 

And onto Kathmandu... 

The airline managed to lose our suitcase for 24 hours (the one containing everything for Zoe) which made for a more adventurous first night than we had hoped. She slept wedged between us. 

Night temperatures are approx 2 or 3 degrees and there is no heating in the accommodation so we bought hot water bottles yesterday and Zoe is wearing many, many layers. 

We met with some lovely people last night who are working in Kathmandu with a bunch of organisations all working in anti-trafficking projects... often through training and employment. 

And this morning we visited a couple who have started up a business with at-risk women, making beautiful clothing for young girls. They're called Free - look out for them! The women loved meeting Zoe.
